Warning

If you have an electronic medical device like a pacemaker, avoid approaching magnets as it may malfunction, posing health risks.

Keep magnets away from children at all times.

Handle larger magnets with extreme caution due to their strong attraction, which can cause severe injury.

Note

To prevent injury and functional failure, strictly follow the operation guidelines below.

Design

Magnet heating can lead to demagnetization as temperature rises. Refer to the temperature coefficient and maximum operating temperature of the magnet grade (see page 14 of the catalog). The performance table doesn't fully guarantee these values, as actual operation depends on magnet size and thickness. Confirm these values with similar samples before product design.

If you need to magnetize the magnet after assembly,了解 the magnetizing field required for the specific grade (refer to the top of page 13 in the catalog) and ensure you have a magnetizing device with a sufficient field. For details, contact us.

Do not place magnets in highly corrosive gases, conductive environments, electrolytes, hydrogen, acids/alkalis, or organic solvents, as these can cause corrosion and degradation of magnetic properties and strength.

These magnets are hard and brittle. Processing without professional equipment is difficult; contact us if needed. Avoid improper handling that may cause breakage (e.g., compression). Design to prevent such breakage. In vibrating or oscillating environments, magnets can crack or fall off, so design to prevent cracking and detachment.

Using magnets in high-speed rotating structures may cause injury. Ensure the design prevents fragment generation. When bonding magnets with adhesive, ensure proper bond strength, quantity, and environmental conditions for reliability.

Assembly/Handling

Samarium cobalt magnets are hard and brittle. Even unmagnetized, they should not be collided. They are easy to break. Magnetized magnets have strong attraction. Handle with care, away from ferrous materials, and prevent mutual attraction.

Do not place fingers or hands between magnets or magnetic structures, or near knives, metal fragments, or other magnets, to avoid serious injury.

Severe vibration may cause magnets to crack or shatter, with fragments potentially flying into the eyes.

When magnetizing magnets in hollow coils, secure them to prevent ejection.

Keep the magnetizing environment clean, as magnets attract dust, metal particles, and magnetic debris.

Ensure bonding surfaces are free of oil and impurities for reliable adhesion and to prevent detachment.

Storage/Placement

Store in a shock-proof, moisture-proof, dust-proof, and compression-resistant environment. Dropping magnets from heights can cause chipping and breakage.

Other

Keep magnets away from floppy disks, magnetic cards, tapes, tickets, etc. Proximity may erase recorded data.

Avoid placing magnets near electronic devices, magnetic interference indicators, and control circuits to prevent malfunctions and accidents.
